Unveiling the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ EV: Size, Performance, and Features
Cadillac is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ. This new EV positions itself in an interesting space, similar in size to the XT5 while occupying the market segment of the XT4.
The OPTIQ comes in two distinct trim levels: Premium Luxury and Sport. The Sport trim features a blacked-out aesthetic with darker wheels, while the Premium Luxury trim showcases chrome window surrounds and polished aluminum wheels. Both trims offer identical equipment options, allowing customers to choose based on their style preferences.
In terms of performance, the OPTIQ delivers impressive capabilities with approximately 300 horsepower, and while this is less than its sibling the LYRIQ’s 500-505 horsepower, it’s still substantial for its smaller size. The vehicle boasts an impressive range of 320-330 miles, surpassing the LYRIQ’s range capabilities.
Inside, the OPTIQ shares a similar layout to the LYRIQ but introduces enhanced interior touches, including wrapped materials on the console, door panels, and dashboard for a warmer ambiance. Notable improvements include the addition of a heads-up display, a feature previously unavailable in the LYRIQ.
Technology-wise, the OPTIQ comes equipped with Google built-in, featuring Google Maps and Google Assistant integration. This new EV is positioned at a more accessible price point compared to the LYRIQ, which typically ranges from mid to high $50,000 when fully equipped.
The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ represents an exciting addition to Cadillac’s electric vehicle portfolio, offering a compelling blend of luxury, technology, and performance in a slightly smaller package.
